Woah!  Check it out: Casey is sending the digital guitar track from my song “Machine Boy” into an old timey reel-to-reel contraption, and then directly recording the tape back to digital.  Attention to detail, folks.  Album drops in April.

having dorky audio fun looping an acoustic guitar track out to my sony TC-377 reel-to-reel and back into pro tools for some good ol’ tapey warmth and compression. tape used here is quantegy 480 low print, intended for nagra — i had a reel of 456 in there which i think finally is worn out from a million tape delay experiments, but the 480 stock seems rock solid with impressive sonic range. the guitar track is from the dan fishback song “Machine Boy” from his upcoming gargantuan album “The Mammal Years.”
